Diamond Creek to Bishop's Beach
Although Diamond Creek can be reached by a short hike, and Bishop’s Beach is in the heart of Homer and both are very popular places to visit the area in between is not frequently accessed and has no access points. this long cleanup covers 7 miles of beach between these two points.
Glacier Spit Cleanup
Join us to clean up Glacier Spit. Sitting in front of Grewingk glacier, glacier spit is a popular destination for locals and visitors. it also catches debris in the current as it makes its way around the bay and is typically the largest cleanup by weight that takes place during CoastWalk.
Space on this cleanup is limited, and sign up is required

Transportation for this cleanup is donated by Mako’s Water Taxi!
Mud Bay to Miller's Landing
Starting at the base of the spit this cleanup will follow the beach below Kachemak Drive to the next public Access point at Miller’s Landing. This 5 mile stretch of shallow beach catches debris flowing down from Homer and on the currents that wrap around the Bay.
Pier 1 Tidepool and Cleanup
Between the fishing lagoon and the harbor the intertidal behind pier 1 is a great place to be on this -2 ft low tide. it is one of the few spots in the bay where sand dollars can be found with only a short walk. With all of the summer activity it can also hold a lot of debris. join us to check out this intertidal and then head a little higher and help clean the upper shore after a busy summer.
Tidepooling - 9:00- 10:30
Cleanup 10:30- 12:00
