Internships

Our High School Internship Program provides a variety of practical experiences to high school age youth or recent graduates at locations operated by the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies: the Wynn Nature Center, the Peterson Bay Field Station, and Inspiration Ridge Preserve.

The program has been designed to help students gain skills in the areas of scientific monitoring, nature interpretation and teaching, public relations, or gardening. This internship is open to rising high school juniors, seniors, and recent graduates with a strong interest in marine science, indigenous studies, gardening, land stewardship, and education.

In addition, in partnership with the CORaL Network, we offer the Community Coastal Experience for adults ages 18 and up to explore career and internship pathways in marine science, archaeology, cultural history, and more.
