Frozen Coast Film Festival

  • Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center 95 Sterling Highway Homer, AK, 99603 United States (map)

Alaska’s first ever coastal recreation film festival!

Join us as we celebrate CoastWalk by supporting Surfrider Kenai Peninsula as they present the Frozen Coast Film Festival!

The festival will include Alaskan films appreciating the many ways people can engage with Alaska’s unique coastlines—from surfing, to sailing, to kayaking, and of course conserving! This includes a special viewing of the documentary Keepers of the North, which follows a clean-up at Gore Point with Gulf of Alaska Keeper. Coastal Studies partners with GoAK on clean-ups around the state, and our Marine Debris Coordinator is featured in the film!

When: Saturday, October 12th, 7pm

Where: Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center

Cost: Free! (Suggested donation)

The winner of Surfrider’s Frozen Coast Photo Contest will also be announced and have the chance to win a surfboard! Grab your friends, enjoy some breathtaking visuals, and join us for a night of ocean love and conservation! Seats are limited, so reserve your tickets now!
