Our Board of Directors

  • A member of our Board for 10 years, Dr. Oudiz is a retired environmental toxicologist for the California Environmental Protection Agency.

  • A member of our Board for three years, Dr. Evans is the founder of the Alaska Alternative Energy Resource Center at the Alaska Center for the Environment, Adjunct faculty at UAA, staff or board member of 12 non-profits since 1978 including the Kachemak Heritage Land Trust and the Homer Folk School. As owner of AnamCara, she teaches classes in holistic healing, wild edible and medicinal plants, Celtic tradition and offers ancestral tours of Ireland.

  • A member of our Board for two years, Liz is an attorney with a background in biology and forestry. Liz works in the areas of environmental and Tribal law currently working for the Association of Village Council Presidents.

  • A member of our Board for four years, Dr. Anderson is a retired telecommunications executive, and a retired adjunct professor of Marketing and Public Health at UAA, APU, and the University of South Florida.

  • A member of our Board for nine years, Betsy was Curator of Zoology at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and Curator of Collections at the Pratt Museum.

  • A member of our Board for three years, Mina is a project manager with nearly twenty years of experience with social sector organizations including non-profits, private foundations, socially responsible businesses, and social enterprises.

  • A member of our Board for three years, Paula is the former director of Alaska Sea Grant, UAF professor emeritus, board member Bristol Bay Heritage Land Trust, Bristol Bay salmon fisherman and owner of Small Boat Salmon.

  • A member of our Board for two years, Paula is a past educator, parent and member of the Wynn Nature Center Committee.

  • A member of our Board for a year, Janet is a retired Teacher with a background in Environmental Education. She started the Fourth Grade Outdoor Education program for Homer students.

  • A member of our Board for one year, Kelly is a catalyst for social and environmental change with a background in natural resource policy, fisheries, sustainable business, and nonprofit management. Kelly has held leadership positions with the Alaska Marine Conservation Council, Ecotrust, and Sitka Salmon Shares during her career and has been involved in a variety of boards and committees including the Local Catch Advisory Committee and the Alaska Food Policy Council Board of Directors.

  • A member of our Board for one year, Jaclyn is a conservation planner focused on partnering with teams across the world to improve the planning and management of their conservation projects. While Jaclyn currently lives in California, she previously resided in Homer, Alaska and was an environmental educator with Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies for many seasons.
