Camp for Adults

Envious of the incredible activities the kids get to do at camp? Now’s your chance to go to camp yourself! Spend 3 days at the Peterson Bay Field Station embracing your inner child and reliving the excitement of summer camp. Explore the rich coastal and marine ecosystems of Kachemak Bay with oceanography investigations, art activities, team games and challenges, and—weather permitting—kayaking to a nearby oyster farm!

Ages: 21+

Note that this is not a self-guided retreat. This is camp! If you’re not excited about team building, structured activities, or group exploration, this may not be the program for you.

Price

To increase accessibility to our programs, Coastal Studies offers a sliding-scale payment option for our overnight camps. Please choose the option to pay the full cost of the program if you are able, and select the low-cost option if that is the right financial fit for your family. If you’re able to “pay it forward” and help support those who may not be able to afford the full cost of camp, please select the “Pay it Forward” option. For questions about the tier system, contact our Program Director.

Full cost: $600
Low-cost: $400
Pay-it-Forward: $700

The cost of the program includes participants’ water taxis, food, and lodging.

Accommodations

Participants will be lodged in heated yurts at the Peterson Bay Field Station. The yurts can sleep up to 6 people. We will house you with everyone registered in your party, and you will have the option for your group to choose a “Girls’ Yurt,” a “Boys Yurt,” or “All Gender Yurt.”

Depending on the number of registrants, you might additionally share a yurt with a person or group you did not register with. This is part of the fun of camp! Sharing space and making new friends is always a highlight for our young campers.

If you’ve registered and have concerns about potentially sharing a room with a stranger, please contact us to discuss more.
