Mud Bay to Miller’s Landing is part of CoastWalk Zone 12. Every year we host public clean-up days to get people outside, cleaning up marine debris, and collecting data about debris movement through Kachemak Bay!
On October 11th, we’ll meet at 10am at the parking area at the base of the Spit on Kachemak Drive. We’ll walk the 4 miles of beach all the way up to Miller’s Landing. We’ll clean and record data from all the debris we find. If you don’t want to walk back to your car, please arrange a ride back to Mud Bay. Make sure to bring weather-appropriate gear, lunch and snacks, gloves, and anything else you need to get down with the debris!
