Classes (Grades 4-12) participate in 2-3 day residential field science and winter survival skills program on the snowy bluffs overlooking Homer.

Students are introduced to the winter ecology of boreal ecosystems through hands-on activities. Activites include guided snowshoe natural history hikes, winter science labs, animal tracking, building snow structures and shelters, and more. All activities are correlated with state and district science standards. Students overnight in heated yurts near the Wynn Nature Center.
