Youth Regulation Workshop

  • Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies Headquarters 708 Smoky Bay Way Homer, AK, 99603 United States (map)

Delve into youth development, strategies for regulation, and tools to teach

Dysregulation happens to everyone—even adults. And for youth with sensory sensitivities, inconsistent routines, stressful life events, or neurodevelopmental differences, it can be especially challenging.

Regulation is an invaluable skill for everyone that is both modeled and taught.

At this free workshop, we'll explore strategies for supporting kids at home, in school, and in nature. Learn from special educators, outdoor educators, and school staff about why dysregulation occurs and gain practical tools to help the children in your life regulate effectively.

This workshop is open to parents, caregivers, and anyone who works with children in grades K–6.

Hosted by Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies, with Fireweed Academy, Forest Preschools, and KPBSD!
