Trails for Teens

  • Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies 708 Smoky Bay Way Homer, AK, 99603 United States (map)
A group of young people walk in a line in the distance working on trail maintenance. A green forest is behind them, and a lush green field before them.

Learn how to build and maintain trails with the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies and the Homer Trails Alliance!

Are you a teen (or do you know a teen) who's interested in trail work? Do you love hiking and being outdoors?

Join us for teen work groups with the Homer Trails Alliance to learn about sustainable trail building, Alaskan ecology, contour lines, and more!

Sessions run from 10am-4pm every day with a break for lunch. We’ll meet at Coastal Studies HQ and take the Coastal Studies van to the work site at Canyon Rim Trail.

These are FREE workshops for teens ages 13-16. Sign up for one, or the whole week!
