David Scheel will be joining us to talk about Alaska's own local giant Pacific octopuses. David will be celebrating the release of the Young Reader edition of his book, and will be available after the talk for a signing! The Young Reader edition is a “compelling middle grade adaptation dives deep into the mysteries and misunderstandings of one of our planet’s most enigmatic animals.”

“Many Things Under A Rock” is available locally at the Homer Bookstore, and takes readers “on in-depth encounters with the behavior and biology of octopuses, which are among the world’s most unusual and intriguing animals.” Learn more about the Young Reader edition here!
